      Not specifically. I know that engineering, particularly mechanical and electrical engineering, involves a lot maths, specifically calculus and numerical methods (finding approximate solutions to problems that can’t be solved algebraically). I’d guess BAE do a fair amount of fluid mechanics (calculus applied to air/water flow) in designing aircraft/ships … .

      I do not hve personal experience of working for or with BAE – hopefully some other expert does
