      Not really, unless there have been some recent discoveries which I’ve missed.

      It depends what you mean by patterns. It doesn’t contain a repeating sequence of numbers (as the decimal form of a fraction can). However, if I recall correctly, there are some “statistical patterns”, some numbers occur more frequently than others, in the sections of pi that have been calculated. But it’s not really my area.

      In the novel ‘Contact’ (there’s a film as well, but this bit is not in the film) a message is found in the digits of pi.

      good question. pi like e is trnascendental and so probably not
