• Question: Can Machines be creative (like humans)?

      A software can be used for generating new data. This kind of software is said to use a “generative model”: some sort of equation or AI system which generates data.

      Such generated data can be used for things like Generative Art (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Generative_art), to produce some art. Despite the results can be artistic, the machine which is generating it doesn’t have any idea that it is doing a creative work. For the software generative art and producing an automated reply to a question is the same thing as machines don’t have cognition of being creative because they are not sentient.
