      My medical collaborator and her team collects the urine samples from babies, children and adults. They run Gas Chromatography Mass Spectroscopy (GC/MS) on the urine samples one by one.

      Next they get plots which look like the one below:

      They record the peak value for each of the extracted steroid metabolite/ hormone and put them in a CSV file, along with other information such as age, chromosomal sex, urine collection method, and date of collection, and after masking the patient identity they send me this file. I import this file, do a bit of data cleaning. Then I keep aside part of this data as validation set and use the rest for training my classifier.
