Maths is connected to computer programming in that it usually involves lots of algorithms. We can also use computer programming to visualise results from maths equations, and to solve them, as the computer is a lot faster than a human.

Maths provides the actual solution. Computer programming is just a means to make the computer perform the tedious and long computations which would have otherwise taken a human being more time and resources to perform. We have to set up the correct mathematical models and equations and only then can the computer programming be of any use to get the result we want.
