I did 4 years of undergraduate studies at university (which is standard length of time for Scotland), then I did another 3.5 years to complete my PhD (research student)

6 years for my BsC+MsC (5 years is standard time in Serbia but most people need 6-7) and 6 years for my PhD (might look like a very long time, but it is quite normal in Germany)

I did 4 years of undergraduate study to get a Master of Mathematics, and then just over a year of postgraduate study to get a Masters in Science Communication. That was taught in blocks (chunks of time) so I worked part-time as well, and I was working full-time by the time I was doing most of my dissertation (that’s a big project where you have to do research, evaluate it and write a report). I wouldn’t recommend doing that, it was really difficult to fit everything in and I was completely exhausted by the time I finished!

7 years full time total (plus some years part time while working but they don’t really count).

So the 7 years was: 3 years undergraduate, 1 year masters and 3 years PhD…
