      You didn’t specify a time frame, so to my mind the probability is 100%. At some point there will be another world war – it might not be for 100 years or 500 years but it will happen.

      In the next ten years, i think the chances are much smaller – not least because war is so destructive nowadays with modern weapons, that full out war in the way of WW1 or WW2 is something that even very powerful countries want to avoid at all costs. That said, climate change is going to put a lot of strain on the world over the next 30-50 years – some areas might become uninhabitable, leading to mass migrations and fights over resources. As the world becomes less able to support 7 billion (or even 8 billion by then) people, conditions might be ripe for large scale conflict.
