• Question: Why did you choose to math in this way

      I was curious to find patterns in data around me. Curiosity drove me to a Data Science (Machine Learning) PhD and machine learning is actually fancily packaged Maths, Statistics, and Statistical Physics. So you can say my curiosity ‘tricked’ me into it. But I am happy to learn this aspect of Maths, since now I know the purpose, the applications. I admit that I would not have chosen a pure Maths project. It’s only when I see the application that I get motivated to learn it and work with it. 🙂
